Mountains to climb
Waves to ride

Ups and downs
Day and night

Opposites attract
Like draws like

Two are one
And one is many

Nothing is as it seems

One, two, three
Each day joining

Within the glass
A mountain growing

Until one day
Spilled for counting

Each drip and drop
Each penny rolling

Sums up enough
Yourself a treat for buying

An artist’s touch
To order and link
The gems of sound
And meaning

A work of art
A master’s touch
Many-faceted
and life reflecting

Places to be
Meeting too

Full are the days
Little rest to be had

But there are the nights
In which relief can be had.

I chase them down
One by one
To hold and learn and know

I can not catch them all,
These thoughts.
I watch some slip away.

And hope such thoughts return
For me to chase again, another day.

Motion tries to be
A substitute
For progress,
For truth.

A shallow dip into
Unknown waters
Becomes something more

A deeper touch,
A meaning found.
The surface calms.

the twig

To see
with others eyes

Seek the truth,
Pursue your vision.

Bright colors surround,
Hues dimmed by our own eyes.
Return to themselves
When perception clears
